About Me

I have not been to Springfield much since graduation and my first year of Bible College at BBC.  After that I attended Tennessee Temple University and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on a paretial music scholarship of voice and violin.  Then I graduated with a degree in Pastoral Theology.  I married a girl named Jeanie (remember the song, "I'll go home with Bonnie Jean:")  Also, one of her sisters is Bonnie.  We lived in California for a number of years, Kentucky also, and have finally settled in Largo, Florida where I am an ordained minister and working to do a CD of Gospel violin music.  I have also written 23 Gospel songs which I hope to have published by the end of the year.  Music is a big part of my life and I will never forget the musical "Brigadoon."  Donna contacted me and asked if I was the same David Williams that sang in that musical and the answer was, "Yes."  I have sung and played my violin in churches all over America and also played in the Chattanooga Symphony while in college there.  I am currently a webmaster having created over 20 websites, some for myself and some for others.  To view some of my work, please visit the following:

I have enjoyed seeing people I recognize and how we have all grown "older."  I try to stay in shape, running/walking 2 miles every day, riding bike 2 miles every day also, and lifting weights 2 days a week.  I was in Hillcrest only 2 years because my parents moved to Springfield to go to Bible college at BBC.  I still have good memories.  Obviously for many of us in the music department, "Brigadoon" was a highlight of our school days, something I still remember and I still sing the songs from that great musical.  The picture here is from a few years ago but we look the same, just a little more grey hair than then.  God bless all my friends and anyone who finds this here.  God has been good all these years and is an integral part of our lives.  My site "If You Could Know That Jesus Loves You" is a video I created about great facts regarding the life and ministry of Christ.  At the end, I am singing a duet with myself the song, "If You Could Know."

I am on Facebook at - www.facebook.com/pastordavidpwilliams with my latest picture.

I looked at the photos and can remember the following: Larry Giggy, Deniel Ellis, Mike Cluck, Doug Reese, Ben Fine, Michael Strope, Jan Music Watkins, Marianne Sheridan Schroyer, Phil Colbaugh.

Here are the songs I have written over the years:

  1. In the Morning
  2. Chief of Sinners
  3. Christ Has No Hands But Our Hands
  4. Don't Wait Until Tomorrow
  5. Fresh Oil
  6. God's House
  7. Least In All Of Heaven
  8. How Sweet The Name of Jesus Sounds - (new tune, John Newton song)
  9. I Can't Old It Back
  10. I'll See You Again Up In Heaven
  11. I'm With My Blessed Savior
  12. Lo!  I am With You
  13. Not worthy
  14. Our God Among Us
  15. Salvation
  16. What About Him (Inspired by Jeanie to write about God)
  17. What Kind of Sacrifice
  18. What Does Jesus Mean To Me
  19. What Whall I Give Him?  (Christmas Song)
  20. Death Couldn't Keep Him Down
  21. Just Keep Trusting (Written after my mother died)
  22. Jesus Is His Lovely Name

In most of these songs, I wrote both the words and the music.  I hope to publish them by the end of the year and also make a CD of the music along with a CD of violin music as well playing Christian Hymns.

Sorry I missed the 50th. The pictures all looked good (older like me) but good. God bless everyone from class of '66.
